about

The Kingston Jazz Composers Collective was formed in the fall of 2008 to give a public workshop in Composition and Performance at the Kingston Jazz Festival.
Inspired by similar groups in places such as New York and San Francisco this workshop brought together five Kingston musicians and composers in a live-audience setting to rehearse and perform new or unplayed works.

At that time the group decided on a mandate (of sorts) to try to present new material every time it performs, and after a particularly enjoyable performance in the spring of 2012 the group decided to record some of its growing body of work.

This release contains brand new mixes optimized for BandCamp, streaming and digital downloads.
